    The long-standing application 18/02725/LBC for Listed Building Consent, submitted in June 2018, to convert the A-listed mortuary chapel into two residential flats, was withdrawn on 15 November 2023.  There are currently no alternative proposals lodged for assessment. The chapel contains the first of only three complete interior mural schemes in Scotland by the internationally renowned Scottish Arts and Crafts artist, Phoebe Traquair.
