As those living in Esdaile and the surrounding area will be aware, a burglar alarm has been ringing almost constantly, now, for three days. This is a good time to remind everyone that burglar alarms are helpful, but it is essential that you have a local keyholder who is willing and able to enter the premises, check for an intruder and turn off the alarm or call the engineer. It is also important to let your neighbours know who is the keyholder. if the alarm continues, the police should be called on 101.
