Supplying newspapers to the Library

In a day or two, The Grange Association will start its sponsorship of the provision of newspapers to be read in the Library. We will let you know when they start.

This is welcomed by the Library staff.

The results of our visitor survey put the Scotsman and the Guardian as the joint clear favourites amongst those who voted.

We hope this will be very popular again, and a great way to encourage people to go into the library – and to stay!

The Scotsman is a 7-day subscription, so we may provide the Scotland on Sunday on a Monday.

The Guardian is a 6-day subscription.

It may take a few days for the supply and pickup to settle down.

One newspaper – today’s Guardian .. is now in the Library.

The Scotsman will follow once we have the paperwork.

Things to work on:

• ensuring regular supply of the papers from participating outlets
• labels on the newspapers – ones currently are temporary

We hope you enjoy the service – and don’t remove the crosswords!

The Guardian is there again today. It sends a barcode which can be used until the proper card arrives.

We still await the paperwork for the Scotsman!
