First Headmistress of St George’s School for girls from 1888-1910. The daughter of William Walker, a banker, who worked for the National Bank of Scotland in Edinburgh and Glasgow before moving with his family in the mid-1860s to Gothenburg, and then to California, before returning to Edinburgh c.1875.
