The Edinburgh Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy (LHEES) and Delivery Plan aim to:
The Edinburgh LHEES identifies where and how to adapt buildings to reduce emissions and identifies potential heat network zones.
The Delivery Plan concentrates on actions between 2024 to 2028. It prioritises areas where actions may be easier, cheaper, or have a known outcome. For example, adding loft insultation means less heat escapes through the loft.
Actions are designed to be achievable under current policy, economic and operational restraints. The Delivery Plan covers preparation, followed by learning and piloting phases, and activity increases as resources permit.
You can view the Edinburgh LHEES and Delivery Plan here.
The Council has a consultation open until 18 February 2024, where you are encouraged to leave your comments about the strategy and plan (in addition to adding comments in posts here).
