D: William Henderson (1810 – 1872)

Controversial Professor of General Pathology at Edinburgh University. After an orthodox start to his career and well-regarded teaching and clinical work, he published An Inquiry into the Homeopathic Practice of Medicine in 1845. This led to his removal from clinical teaching and patient care at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
