Workmen currently closing off the Kilgraston Road end of Dick Place to traffic. Any opinions on this?
Seperately, not sure if Edinburgh Council plan to re-surface Lauder Road, but it seems odd that they would choose to resurface the east end of Dick Place first when Lauder Road appears to be in a much worse state. Although I presume it’s rarely that simple from a cost / budgeting perspective. Nevertheless, I don’t believe Lauder Road has been in a worse state than it is now.
I’m not sure about this, but my impression is that the work in Dick Place is not a full-scale resurfacing. Rather, it consists of repairs to kerbs and gutters, including installing drop kerbs at all of the junctions.
Hey Mike
At the end of last week, a full-scale resurfacing took place at the east end of Dick Place, as well as improvements to kerbs and gutters. Looks to be a complete re-surface of Dick Place is taking place, to include the west side.
Kind regards,
Neil
You’re right, Neil. I just rode along the entire length of Dick Place and saw the resurfacing east of Lauder Road.
