We’d positively encourage people (non-members too!) to contribute to our forum. This will help to make it more active, useful and important.

There are a couple of things:

      • It is moderated, therefore we will remove anything unsavoury.
      • You need to register and log in to contribute – but can read it without that.
      • Since we migrated to the new website, and started a new forum, if you had a log-in on the old forum, you will have to re-register on the new one – sorry!
      • Remember you can “subscribe” at any level in the forum … so that you are pro-actively informed of new material by email – whether at sub-forum or “thread” level.

        Just to reiterate this:

“Since we migrated to the new website, and started a new forum, if you had a log-in on the old forum, you will have to re-register on the new one – sorry!”

What would encourage more of you to contribute yourselves to the forum?

The stats show plenty of people read the items, but that’s usually after an update has been sent out.

You can email me with your thoughts and ideas.

          Any ideas welcome!

We have the field “to prove you’re human” to fend off bots … also we have at another level had spammers sign up – and had to delete them.

Also … to reiterate, we didn’t want it to be this way, but the “old” forum was very elderly and behind the times – moving people over wasn’t possible – if you had a log-in on the old forum, you will have to re-register on the new one – sorry!” .

Finally – there is an authentication process before you are “approved” … so it’s not instant.

It’s all about protecting the forum and the members – and it’s worthwhile
