The westernmost chamber of the Grange catacombs (the only chamber with interments – 22 of them, in loculi) will be open to the public 2-4pm on Sundays in June.
The chamber was open on the Grange Cemetery Open Days last year and we had over a hundred visitors interested in finding out more. I researched the catacombs together with the late Alan McKinney and I will be in attendance on these June Sundays to chat and explain to those interested.
In the meantime you might like to read the documented results of our research. A pdf is also available there documenting who is buried in the loculi.
Depending on the success of these June Sundays we may open the chamber more frequently.
