Grange Prestonfield Community Council have asked us to share the following message:-
GPCC COULD FACE CLOSURE
We’re asking for your help, now, from 30 Sep 2026.
We know you want your neighbourhood to have a say in community life and city life. Can you step forward to make that voice heard?
It’s a statutory requirement of the City Council that GPCC has a minimum of 8 registered individual members. We’ve drifted below that minimum since our 2025 election. If we can’t bring in new member support by way of co-option, there is a real risk the Council could close GPCC, maybe until 2029.
We have to overcome this challenge 1) to your own voice in city affairs, and 2) to our local democracy.
GPCC works on behalf of you.
Take a look here at what we do – http://www.grangeprestonfieldcc.org.uk (Select News / All Posts from the menu bar)
Then make contact to help sort us out.
Speak to us to make a difference at secretary@grangeprestonfieldcc.org.uk
Thank you!
