Just a reminder that the leaves are building up again!

The volunteers have already been out, but there’s a lot to do. Findhorn Place between Fountainhall Road and St Albans Road is dreadful, as well as South Lauder Road between Fountainhall Road and St Albans Road. There will be many more.

Please contact Sue Tritton if you can help.

Remember that you can report a blocked gully on-line.

If you are leaf-clearing or just “out and about”, remember the site, report it, and the Council will get round to it.

            Message from Sue Tritton:

Many of you have already been doing fantastic work clearing our streets, and several people have been organising communal sweeps near their homes.

Tzu Chi UK (Chinese Charity) are offering volunteers to help this weekend, and it’s been suggested to clear the area of Kilgraston Road near Blackford Road and Hope Terrace, on Sunday (23rd) from about 2pm. Bags, brushes and shovels will be provided -all help welcome.

One resident has organised her neighbours in the Oswald Road/ Mortonhall area to keep that area leaf-free. There will be communal working there on Sunday between about 3.30 and 5pm

Suggestions of areas for future communal efforts are always welcome – and can encourage others to join in – so please send Sue any suggestions!

If you see leaf-clearers when you’re out and about this weekend – say hello – or even better help!

If you have a brown bin, and don’t expect to fill it yourself, why not fill it anyway with leaves!?

Putting out your brown bin tonight or soon?

Not full of your own garden stuff?

Why not put some leaves in today – from the street or your garden .. just to fill it up?

                    Anything helps.
