Club President , Lyn Blackhall opened the new season at Whitehouse & Grange Bowling Club by the traditional rolling of the silver jack. Beforehand, there was a celebration of the life of Bob Tait (Grange resident and long-standing Club member) who passed away earlier this year. A rose was planted in his memory to the background music of “ I’m Gonna Be” by the Proclaimers.
Open to all Grange Association members, events coming at the bowling club are Easter Saturday 19th April 10:30 – 13:00 an Easter Egg hunt for Children, followed on Saturday 26th April “Try Bowls” (arrive between 13:00 and 15:00) with Bowls Scotland proving expert coaching. A chance if you have never tried bowls to come along and give it a go and maybe sign up to join Whitehouse & Grange. Also, on Thursday mornings from 17th April 10:00 there will be beginners coaching sessions when non- members are also welcome to come along and try their hand. You only need to bring pair of flat shoes . Bowls and everything else is provided. If you are passing at any time and the gate is open you are always welcome to drop in and enjoy the surroundings, watch some bowls and have a chat with Club members.
