Like me you may have received a letter from the City of Edinburgh Council dated 14th December titled Festive waste and recycling collections. The last paragraph said our new collection calendar was enclosed. The enclosure was a Wed_2 calendar whereas our collections are normally on a Tuesday. I queried this with the Bins and Recycling service but so far, they are unable to say whether this was a change of day or a mistake. However, our bin was emptied today (Tuesday) so clearly it was the latter. Interestingly several of our neighbours never received the letter; a case where a second error does correct the first!
