Neil Robb.As you may know, The Grange Fair is being held from 1.00 to 4.30 pm on Saturday 18 May on Fountainhall Road and Newington Library. You are warmly invited to attend this friendly community event to enjoy entertainment, stalls, activities, and more. It’s a really great opportunity to meet up with friends and neighbours.
This year, we will have a Grand Opening at 1.00 pm when local MP Ian Murray and MSP Daniel Johnstone will formally declare the event open, accompanied by the Edinburgh Schools Pipe Band. We hope you can join us for this.
Last year, with your help, the fair raised over £3,000 which was split between the library and several local charities. We will be grateful once again for any donations of books, plants and collectables, which can be dropped off at Newington Library until Thursday 16 May. Any home baking donations can be brought to the library on the afternoon of Friday 17 or on the morning of the Fair at 10.00 am.
Finally, there is still time to volunteer on the day. We are looking for people to man stalls and act as stewards for the event. For more information, please contact Maggie Collard on 07918 702862 or come along to the volunteer briefing at 7.00 pm on Wednesday 15 May at the library.
