.Whitehouse & Grange Bowling Club in Hope Terrace has two upcoming open events. Firstly, on Saturday 24th May our Summer Fair with stalls and BBQ and then on Sunday 29th June we are part of Scotland’s Garden Scheme . Both events provide a chance to get on our Green to TRY BOWLS We provide sets of bowls and coaching to get you started. You just need to bring a pair of flat shoes. Also, turn up on any Sunday between 13:45 and 14:00 and you will get a chance to play.
Established in 1872, our philosophy, as well as providing opportunities for bowling for all ages, is to engage with the local community and to make our grounds a space for everyone to enjoy- bowlers and non-bowlers alike.We received The Grange Award in 2024 for these efforts.
The Club and grounds are wholly owned by the membership. We offer a reduced subscription for the first year (£100). We have a licensed bar operating in and out of season. Outside the bowling season, we have an active social events programme including art classes, tea & whist on Wednesday afternoons, Burns Supper, wine & whisky tastings, quizzes and
beetle drives etc. We also have a non-playing social membership category (£30)We also encourage non- members to come in watch some bowls or walk around our garden area. If you are passing by Hope Terrace and you see bowlers on the Green pop in and introduce yourself. We are are very welcoming Club.
