The volunteer planning review subcommittee is facing a cycle of retirements in coming months. There is a need for new volunteers. The primary immediate task involves reading occasional residential building plans submitted for approval. However, tasks can be adapted, to a certain extent, according to interest and time availability. Plans are compared with planning policy and guidance. Comments and objections are occasionally filed by the association. It is evident from the record that our comments and objections have impact, at least in some instances, on the planning approval process.
