At about 12 noon today I heard a loud banging noise at the garden gate around the side of the house and found two young men there. One of them was kicking in the wooden gate and ran off when I shouted at him. The other one ran after him down Lauder Road and towards Dick Place.
They looked to be in their early twenties, very slim, dressed in dark grey/black leisure clothes and trainers.
They tried to get in through the ground floor bathroom window even though it is barred.
I have notified the police.
