There is a planning application for the redevelopment of The Priory, the building at 37 Canaan Lane which is currently used as offices by the Ark Housing Association. Its entrance is on Canaan Lane between the new Canaan Lane Primary School and the Royal Blind School, in front of St Peter’s Primary School.
The proposal is to redevelop the building to create eight residential apartments, and also to build three new townhouses on the site. The documents and drawings describing the proposals are available on the Council’s planning portal at 23/05892/FUL. These documents include this Design Statement, which has these images of the planned finished site. There is an accompanying application 23/05886/CON, for the demolition of part of the office building, whicih requires authorisation because this is in a conservation area.
The planning application is open for comments from the public until 24 November 2023.
The Grange Association has submitted this objection.
