Tree work notifications 2025

The table below shows all notifications of work on trees in the Grange Conservation Area (TCO) and applications for work on trees that are subject to a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) anywhere in the Grange Association area, for which the initial application was made in 2025. TCO applicants are required to give six weeks’ notice of works, during which time the Council can decide to make a TPO. In the absence of a response before the TCO determination deadline, the works may proceed thereafter. More information about the application process is available from our planning guidance page.

  • 4 – Sycamore, Acer pseudoplatanus: Remove dead wood; Sever ivy near ground level to around 1.5 metres; Reduce crown spread to West over car park area by approx. 2.5 m to the full height of the crown, to reduce the shading and potential pigeon roosting perches.
  • 6 – Paper bark Birch, Betula species: Remove several small hanging dead branches; Reduce the spread of the crown towards the lamppost by approx. 1.5m. Remove small parallel lower branch (40mm diameter) growing towards lamppost, to prevent future competition with lower parallel branch.
  • 7 – Lime, Tilia sp.;Remove dead wood; Remove epicormic growth up to 2.5m above ground level to allow more detailed inspection, and to maintain the tree.
  • 8 – Sycamore, Acer pseudoplatanus located adjacent to the main gate; Crown lift to 5.5m above the road for vehicle clearance.
  • 9 – Holly, Ilex sp.; Reduce the crown to around 4.5m, with formative pruning to promote a better form.
  • 11 – Lime, Tilia sp.: Remove dead wood; Remove epicormic growth at base of trunk. Crown lift over the road and pavement to 5.3m and 2.4m respectively
  • 16 – Hawthorn, Crataegus sp.; Crown lift over the road and pavement to 5.3m and 2.4m respectively; Sever ivy at base and clear to 1.5m above ground level and re-inspect.
